Committed to Our Local Communities

BNSF strives to maintain strong relationships with our communities – the communities where our employees live, work and play. In everything we do, we strive to provide a work environment that supports the communities where we operate.

BNSF has given more than $1 million since 2013 to local non-profit organizations in California, including the United Way, Ronald McDonald House, Boys and Girls Club, Habitat for Humanity, YMCA, among many others.

BNSF also promotes safety in the community, through partnerships with Operation Lifesaver and direct outreach along the tracks.

BNSF’s Commitment to California

California is the linchpin of the BNSF Railway network.

It’s also home to 3,200+ BNSF employees who share our commitment to protecting the environment while safely and efficiently transporting our region’s products to the world.
